Your household (names, diets, allergies and foods you skip), your weekly plan, saved recipes, notes, cookbooks, your fridge and pantry list, your grocery list and your budget are stored in the app on your device. We can't see them.
If you turn on iCloud sync, this information is also stored in your own iCloud account so it can sync between your devices. Apple handles that storage under Apple's privacy policy. We don't have access to your iCloud.
Mmmeals uses a small server (run on Google Cloud) for two features. Nothing is sent unless you use them.
With video imports we also send an anonymous ID for your device. It isn't tied to your name and is used only to stop any one device from overloading the server. Our server keeps short technical logs (such as the time of a request and whether it worked) to keep the service running. Google Cloud deletes these logs automatically after about 30 days.
When you open your Walmart cart from Mmmeals, you're on Walmart's website, and Walmart's own privacy policy applies to what you do there. Our Walmart links are affiliate links, so Mmmeals may earn a commission on your order at no extra cost to you. We don't see your Walmart account, payment details or order history.
If you turn on Apple Health, Mmmeals adds the calories and nutrients of meals you mark as cooked to the Health app. Mmmeals never reads your health data, and this information never leaves your device through us. Health data is never used for advertising or shared with anyone.
Cook mode can listen for "next", "back" and "repeat" so you can cook hands-free. This only runs while hands-free cook mode is on. When your phone supports it, speech is understood on your device. On phones that can't, Apple's speech recognition may process the audio under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive or store recordings.
Mmmeals Plus is bought through Apple. Apple handles your payment, and we never see your card or Apple ID details. The app only checks with Apple whether your subscription is active.
Mmmeals is made for adults planning meals for their household. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. You may add kids to your household in the app, and that information stays on your phone.
Because your information is on your phone, deleting the app deletes it. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove the app's data from iCloud in your iPhone's Settings under your name, then iCloud. Nothing we receive from video imports or Walmart cart requests is tied to you, so there's nothing else to delete.
If we change how Mmmeals handles your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
Email us at mmmealsapp@gmail.com and we'll get back to you.
